Northpointe at Mill Creek
Mill Creek, Washington
This 37-acre planned residential development is located in the northeastern corner of Mill Creek, on a brownfield site previously used for peat mining and for commercial topsoil and yard waste recycling. The master site plan for the 225 unit, moderate income project involved creating a residential neighborhood around a central park and two existing wetlands. A variety of housing types - single-family detached homes, duplexes, triplexes and 5-plexes - were used to create pedestrian-oriented streets. Neighborhood character was established by creation of design guidelines.
