Using a unique but simple form, this distinctive 8 story building achieves 81 apartments, commercial space, and 3 levels of below-ground parking on a hillside infill site in the First Hill neighborhood. Street front vitality at ground level is encouraged by retail and live-work apartments, as well as active uses along the alley.
Addressing the need for affordable housing, this project participated in the City of Seattle's Multifamily Property Tax Exemption (MFTE) Program. The development also meets the criteria for LEED Silver, utilized low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) materials and ENERGY STAR appliances, and was a BUILD SMART program participant.
