Unfolding Stories DADU

"Unfolding Stories" is conceived as three adaptable "chapters," or phases, that respond to family size, budget, culture, and site conditions. The DADU can be constructed incrementally as needs evolve or completed all at once. Ranging from approximately 415 to 950 square feet, each version is economical and designed for construction by a two-person team using commonly available materials and standard dimensions that minimize waste. This completed DADU represents the third chapter of the concept, while its materials, finishes, and roofline illustrate just one of many possible design expressions.
