Island Retreat
San Juan Island, Washington
With its idyllic southwestern exposure and Henry Island views, the remodel created a modern, spacious, and serene waterfront retreat. Both the main and lower floors gained approximately 1,000 SF, culminating in a combined new addition of 2,000 SF.
At the heart of the transformation lies the expansion of the great room, seamlessly connecting the interior to the panoramic views. A new wing introduces a dining room, den/TV room, master bedroom, with private deck, and expanded bathroom, an additional guest room, and bathroom. The deck was expanded to further serves as a bridge between indoor and outdoor living. The lower floor embraces functionality with an office and exercise area. A newly integrated staircase fosters continuity between levels.
